We present to you the originators of transformative, high-energy empowerment—leaders of the SOM Nation and unifiers of music, culture, peace, light, and power: the electrifying violin virtuoso duo, Sons of Mystro.
Sons of Mystro are a life changing performing duo and band that have honed their skills and talent giving a professional high-quality live show experience while inspiring adults and the youth generating a lasting impact on lives in theaters, venues, and festivals across the country for sixteen years.
Sons of Mystro has been honing their skills in the Broward County public school system, attending Bethune Elementary School in Hollywood, Florida, on through Parkway Middle School, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Dillard High School for the Performing Arts and Broward College, Davie, Florida.
Since forming in 2010, Sons of Mystro have become one of the most innovative violin duos of their generation, seamlessly blending classical technique with contemporary genres including reggae, R&B, hip-hop, and pop. Over the past several years, they have performed at premier festivals and cultural institutions such as the Ann Arbor Folk Festival, the International Festival of Arts & Ideas, SunFest, the New Haven Festival, and the Beloved Community Awards, solidifying their position at the intersection of classical virtuosity and modern cultural relevance.
Their genre-crossing versatility has led to collaborations and shared stages with acclaimed artists including Queen Naija, Trey Songz, Fatman Scoop, Talib Kweli, WAR, Stevie Mackey, and Andra Day. They have also performed for the Miami Heat, ESPN/BCS Championship events, and major festival stages alongside legendary artists such as Earth, Wind & Fire, Babyface, Charlie Wilson, Fantasia, Monica, and Ne-Yo, demonstrating their ability to connect with audiences across diverse musical landscapes while maintaining a signature sound rooted in violin performance.
